Toyota Avalon has some changes for 2022.
Unfortunately, it has announced that this model from Avalon will be its last release for large sedans.
For the latest Avalon, buyers will not be able to choose the previously optional all-wheel drive system.
The vehicle's driver assistance features have also been upgraded with more advanced camera and radar-based collision avoidance systems.

Engine and transmission in Toyota Avalon of 2022
Toyota Avalon gives buyers a choice of two sets of engines: one a combustion-only engine and the other a fuel-saving hybrid.
The 3.5-liter in-line combustion engine produces 301 horsepower and 362 Nm of torque.
The transmission is an eight-speed automatic, and according to tests, the V-6 sprints to 100 km/h in 6.0 seconds.
As for the hybrid version, it has two electric motors and a 2.5-liter combustion engine with four cylinders.
This version delivers 215 horsepower and is mated to a Continuously Variable Automatic Transmission (CVT) that powers the front wheels.
Many shoppers looking for big cars like the Avalon prioritize comfort, and Toyota's big sedans don't disappoint in that respect.
It is worth noting that, in the tests conducted, the Toyota Avalon was noted for its impressive performance in terms of bumping out and feeling in the cabin.

In terms of the overall appearance of the interior, the current Toyota Avalon has gone a long way compared to models from previous generations.
A wide, waterfall-shaped canter stack separates driver and front passenger, revealing a beautiful keyboard and accessible touchscreen.

The previous hybrid version of the Toyota Avalon 2019 had a larger battery pack that broke apart in the luggage compartment and limited cargo space.
This car fits fewer bags (six with the rear seats in use and 17 folded), but Toyota says the new lithium-ion battery is smaller and keeps the Avalon's full boot space.
