This summer, with a special edition of the 7 Series, bmw will end production of the V12
bmw has confirmed its powerful 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 engine in its final year after more than 30 years of service.
The 5.0-liter engine began production on the road in 1987 in the M70, with only two valves per cylinder and one overhead camshaft.
Therefore, bmw decided to end the stage of this engine by producing a special version of the 7 Series for the United States.
bmw will end production of the V12 engine this summer .
Based on the bmw m760i xdrive, the 12 final v12 will be limited to just 12 models for the US market.
Each is priced at $200,000, plus destination fees.

bmw 7 Series Special Edition
The engine in the new car generates 601 horsepower, and sends this power to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The car accelerates from 0 to 96 km / h in just 3.6 seconds.
The vehicle's exterior will feature bmw v12 badging at the rear and special 20-inch 760M double-spoked aluminium wheels painted in either Jet Gray or Jet Black, and polished to accentuate the Dark Silver surface.
Customers can also choose between blue or black brake callipers, or any colour they like from bmw's personal programme.
The new car will get the bmw Driving Assistance Package, a luxury rear seat package, a panoramic LED roof, adaptive headlights with laser headlights, and a Bowers & Wilkins audio system.
bmw customers also have the option to choose one of eight interior colours for the full Merino leather upholstery.
Production is scheduled to begin in June 2022 with deliveries expected in July.
